PARMA 3 (Morrone 10, Paci 54, Morfeo 74)
LIVORNO 2 (Tavano 23, Tavano 50 Pen)

Corradi failed to take advantage of a lucky bounce into the box from a corner, he hit a fresh air shot and Morrone bravely headed the ball into an empty net just as Livorno’s Amelia, who is getting plenty of shot stopping practice, rushed off his line. Tavano equalised with a curling shot from inside that box that almost certainly took a couple of deflections then put Livorno in front from the penalty spot. Paci equalised from a corner before Morfeo’s genius and the linesman’s flag won Parma the points. Morfeo caught the Livorno defence off guard with a quickly taken free kick, the ball was about an inch out of play as Reginaldo crossed, Amelia got a touch but could only parry the ball to Morfeo who scored with a rare header.

TORINO 2 (Rosina 71, Ferri 85 og)
CAGLIARI 0

Both teams hit the woodwork and Cagliari should have been awarded a penalty for handball. A unlucky deflection off midfielder Parola left Rosina with an easy tap-in. Cagliari’s rotten luck continued. Corini swung a corner kick into the box and Ferri inadvertently put the ball into his own net when attempting to clear.

Attendance : 18,000

NAPOLI 3 (Gargano 49, Domizzi 62 Pen, Domizzi 69)
JUVENTUS 1 (Del Piero 46)

Paladino turned onto a pass and played a high one-two with Trezeguet before crossing to the back post and Del Piero volleyed the ball straight at Iezzo but he couldn’t hold. Juve lined up with Grygera, Legrottaglie, Chiellini and Molinaro in defence. Needless to say that’s probably one of the worst defences the team has fielded in about three decades. Three of them stood still as Gargano collected possession on the edge of the box and ran across them before firing past Buffon. Juve should have restored their lead but Del Piero missed a sitter on a rebound after Trezeguet headed against a post. Calciopoli took it’s revenge in brutal fashion in this match as Napoli were awarded two bullshit penalties. Lavezzi won the first with a innovative dive that is going to be very difficult for most players to replicate. As he ran past Chiellini he hooked his right leg against Chiellini’s left leg and threw himself forward almost turning a full 180 degrees. Left back Domizzi sent Buffon the wrong way. Former Juventino Zalayeta threw himself over Buffon as he advanced off his line and Domizzi successfully fired the ball into the opposite corner.

There was a conspiracy in favour of Juventus during Moggi’s crooked reign now I would suggest, for this season at least, there is a conspiracy against them. That sick feeling most Juventus supports have in their stomachs right now, that’s how it feels to be cheated. Juve host Inter next Sunday and if they line-up with this defence they’ll get absolutely destroyed. Can’t bloody wait.

Attendance : 60,000
Assists : Paladino, Lavezzi (won pen), Zalayeta (won pen)
